Kotobian Tagazo Do Kaamatan for all my Friend ARAMATII ..

 1st of all wish all my friend and Kadazan Dusun in Sabah..Kotobian Tagazo Do Kaamatan .. ARAMATII ..

30th and 31st of May is Sabah Declare Holiday for Kotobian Tagazo Do Kaamatan..

Yeah Aramaitiii ahahha..sure lot of people drunk this week ahahaha...Minginom Tapai is one of Culture for of Kadazan Dusun. Sure Police Traffic will busy on the road.. ahah...

Ok people let me intro you what is Kaamatan is-->>

The word Kaamatan is derived from the root word tomot, a Kadazandusun term for harvest
Kaamatan refers to the paddy-harvesting period, which involves a series of traditional rituals culminating finally to the Kaamatan (harvest) festival. The Kaamatan Festival is an annual event in the cultural life of the Kadazandusuns of Sabah since time immemorial.

The Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) is a nonpolitical association of 40 indigenous ethnic subgroups of Sabah that fall under the ethnic groups of Dusun and Kadazan, collectively known as Kadazandusun.
KDCA’s began as the Society of Kadazan Penampang in 1953, followed by Kadazan Cultural Association Sabah (KCA) in 1963. The group has retained its current KDCA name since September 25, 1991.
The President and leader of the KDCA, who is regarded as the Paramount Leader or Huguan Siou of the Kadazandusun community. Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Pairin Kitingan is the incumbent President and Huguan Siow. The association's headquarters is the Hongkod Koisaan (Unity Hall) center in Donggonggon, Penampang, Sabah. KDCA organise the Kaamatan Festival or harvest festival, an important annual event in the cultural life of the Kadazandusuns of Sabah. 





Harvest Festival beauty contest (Unduk Ngadau)

 It is Unduk Ngadau Harvest Queen.  The queens hair must fluffy, red lipstick and wearing traditional clothes KadaazanDusun important. This is the pictures of Queen Unduk Ngadau ...





The finalists had a series of Q & A session from the judges on why they should be chosen and also had to give their opinions on certain current issues regarding the city and the state.

This is last year 2010 winner...and we will see who's the next winner  2011 this year
